If you're not sure if a dental problem is an emergency, we offer this advice:
- If it hurts, it's an emergency.
- This is because even injuries that seem small or superficial can affect the living tissues inside the teeth. Quick treatment improves the odds of saving injured or damaged teeth and gums.
- Our office is ready to help, please call us if you have an emergency. We will get you scheduled to see the doctor as soon as possible.
Examples of Emergencies
- You've woken up in the middle of the night with a throbbing toothache.
- It's Sunday afternoon, your child comes running in with a frightened look, an open mouth, and a chipped tooth.
- You've cut your mouth or, your gums are bleeding.
